Upright Water Co’s system

All-in-one well water treatment that breaks down iron.

Upright Water Co’s dual-tank well system pairs an iron-breaker tank containing catalytic carbon and iron-reduction media with a CG10 softening-resin tank. Air-injection oxidation removes iron and sulfur without chemicals, for clean, clear, soft water from challenging wells.

System features

  • Air-injection oxidation for iron and sulfur treatment without chemicals.
  • The iron-breaker tank backwashes itself, is low maintenance and boosts pH.
  • A CG10 softening-resin tank is included to treat hardness.
  • Ceramic-disc programmable control valve: longer life, less maintenance, an easy program interface, long-term program memory, 72-hour memory backup and a 1″–1¼″ bypass.
  • Larger tanks are available; capacity is confirmed after testing.

A heavy-duty option for problem wells

For stubborn iron and sulfur, Upright Water Co’s heavy-duty option adds hydrogen-peroxide injection ahead of catalytic carbon and softening resin. This is a different approach from the chemical-free air-injection configuration. We choose the arrangement after testing; bacteria and nitrates still require a certified lab.

Optional sediment pre-filter

A sediment pre-filter protects the main treatment system by catching sediment ahead of it. Its cartridge rating is about 10,000 gallons; follow the care guidance for your water and use.

Start with the concern

What you notice helps shape the plan

Orange staining, a rotten-egg smell or grit in the water are useful things to mention when you ask for help. They point to different questions, so they should not all be treated as one problem. Tell us whether the concern is at every tap, only in hot water, or at a single fixture. Also mention any treatment already connected to the well.

Upright Water Co offers well-water systems for iron, sulfur odor and sediment. We do not pick the equipment from a photograph of a stain. We begin with what you notice, the available test results and the way your household uses water. If more testing is needed to choose treatment, we explain that before treating a guess as a result.

01

Iron concerns

Staining deserves a water-specific treatment plan rather than a city-water recommendation.

02

Sulfur odor

A rotten-egg smell is a reason to investigate the source and discuss treatment.

03

Sediment

Grit and particles need attention before they reach equipment farther along the line.

Know the limits

A free screening is not a safety report

Our free in-home test checks hardness, chlorine and TDS. We come to you, explain the readings and there is no obligation to buy. Those readings provide a useful starting point, but they do not identify every substance in well water. A TDS reading is a combined measurement, not a list of what is dissolved in your glass.

Bacteria and nitrate concerns belong with a certified lab. The EPA says private well owners are responsible for their water and recommends yearly testing for total coliform bacteria, nitrates, TDS and pH. It also advises testing when the water changes. Keep lab reports with your well records so a treatment discussion starts with evidence rather than memory.

Well-focused treatment

Different jobs can need different tanks

A dual-tank or other well-focused arrangement can separate treatment jobs when the test supports it. One stage may address a concern before water reaches the next stage. The order matters because equipment needs water conditions it can work with. We explain the purpose of each part instead of adding tanks simply because a home has a well.

The usual Upright Whole-Home Softener + Carbon System is our city-water approach. It is not automatically the right answer for a private well. Well water may need a different arrangement for iron, sulfur odor or sediment. A softener handles hardness; it is not a substitute for the full well-water plan or for disinfection when that is needed.

Household fit

Plan the layout before installation

A recommendation should account for the existing well equipment, available space and access for service. Show us the current treatment and describe what has been changed or bypassed. If you have documents for older equipment, keep them available. Knowing what is already in place can prevent an unnecessary replacement or a treatment stage that works against another.

Installation is performed by a licensed plumber we partner with.

We walk through the recommendation and what care the proposed equipment needs. Ask how water will reach the house during service and where any required connections belong. A useful plan is one you understand and can maintain, not just a row of tanks you cannot tell apart.

Keep checking

Care for the system and keep testing the well

Treatment does not remove your responsibility to keep track of the well. Notice changes in taste, smell, color or sediment and bring new lab results into the conversation. Do not assume an old reading explains a new problem. Keep service notes alongside testing records so it is easier to see what changed and when.

Upright Water Co offers annual service and filter care. The care plan depends on the equipment and the water being treated; there is no single replacement interval that fits every well system. We can discuss the required upkeep after the test. Start with a free screening, then use certified lab testing where the question goes beyond that screening.

How it works

Three steps, no pressure

The same simple path for every service. It always starts with your water.

FAQ

Questions about well water systems

More questions

Do you offer treatment for iron or sulfur odor?

Yes. Upright Water Co offers well-focused systems for iron, sulfur odor and sediment. We start with a test and choose the arrangement from the results.

Does the free well screening test for bacteria?

No. The free in-home screening checks hardness, chlorine and TDS. Bacteria and nitrates need a certified lab.

Does every well need two tanks?

No. A dual-tank arrangement is considered when the water and treatment jobs support it. We explain why each stage belongs in your plan.

Can I use the city-water combined system on a well?

Do not assume it fits. Well water needs its own test-based plan; the combined softener and carbon system is our usual city-water option.

Do you provide ongoing care?

Yes. Ask about annual service and filter care for the equipment selected for your water.
